Welcome to the website for Heart Medicine Journeys and Heart Medicine Creations
From time to time I am asked, "why the words 'Heart Medicine'?" and "where did the name come from?". When most people think of medicine these days, they think of pills or liquids from the pharmacy or hospital. A few may think of herbs as medicine. A number of cultures around the world still use herbs in their medical practice. Certainly, in pre-industrialized cultures, herbs were the standard medicine of the day. As people migrated westward in America, they brought their herbs, as well as learned from the local Native Americans what plants offered what remedies. Many indigenous cultures experience a connection with all of creation...the sun, the moon, the stars, the land, the water, the animals, the winged, the water beings, the trees, as well as the stone beings (the mineral kingdom). I very much appreciate the innate wisdom carried by the indigenous people that, over time, we have gotten away from as we have progressed up the technological ladder.
I also believe, that each of us, no matter what time we come in to live on this earth, bring unique gifts with us. There are similarities to some and differences to other humans, but our unique configuration is specific to what we "have come here to do"...why we are here, our specific missions as it were. It is important to listen to our respective souls to see how on or off track we are with why we are here. It is very easy these days to be distracted with all the media telling you "the way it is" as well as the technology that is supposed to be serving humanity, seeming to be demanding more and more of our time, leaving little time for quiet, for listening, for checking in on our own internal GPS to see where we are and in what direction do we wish to be going.
I believe that Heart Medicine represents the doing what "lights you up", what makes your soul sing. For me it is the traveling to different lands and learning about different, and sometimes ancient cultures. It is about honoring the connection we have with all things, with all of creation. And for sure, it is also my joy when working with the mineral kingdom, creating unique, one of a kind pieces that I and others wear that contribute to our feeling of well-being, that contribute to our journeys in life. It is teaching others how to work with the stone beings, how to use the different tools available, and creating beautiful pieces for themselves and others. Heart Medicine is the offering of our respective unique gifts to humanity in service to the greater good.
I am here to support you and others align with your heart medicine, with what makes your soul sing. This is a journey of self-empowerment and interdependence, where all our unique gifts combined contribute to the well being of all.
